What can I say? We are still dealing with the same problem, its been 3
years almost that child number 2 has been in the special education in the
Christina School district. I feel like a broken record arguing over
her placement still. Its getting old and its affecting me badly, I am
suffering from depression, chronic migraine headaches, and bad
exhaustion. It has started to trickle down to child number 1, she packed her bags
today and informed me she is moving out.
The stress is to much. During
the day its not so bad but when Cate gets home all heck breaks loose.
Today #2 came home with a bad transition from the bus. She wanted to
stay on it. She was happy going for a ride and wasn’t ready to go home
yet. I carried her in which is not an easy task to carry a child the
size of a 6 year old kicking and screaming and flailing her arms. She
got in I immediately locked the door and held it shut. To my shock she
bite me 2X. She hasn’t done that in 2 years and I thought we was past
that. Well I was unhappily proven wrong. It wasn’t a bad bite but it
hurt enough to make me angry. It takes an enormous amount of self
control to handle her when she gets like this.
She calms down after 20 min and starts playing with her sisters and I
look through her bag so see if her teacher left a note. I knew today
she would because as I was carrying Cate off the bus the driver told
me the teachers said she had a very bad day. I open up the note book
to see a letter asking me if anything changed at home because of her
behavior.
Nothing has changed at home. I just talked to this woman 2 weeks ago
telling her how #2 can be. This is a new teacher we was surprised
with a few weeks ago. Tomorrow I will be on the phone AGAIN this time
calling the principle of Delawares Autism School and
the president of Delawares Autism Program and the head of
the special ed department
I am extremely upset over having to fight this again. Jason and I are
looking at the strong possibility that if Cate doesn’t get into DE’s
Autism Program soon and her behavior not gained control immediately we
will be forced to place ehr in a home in the next few years. She is
only getting older and bigger and I can’t have her out of control, getting older
and continuing attacking me and her sisters.

I have started homeschooling my oldest about 2 monthes ago and we will start with our youngest soon. I have a TON of sites listed for homeschooling resources. Some are for here in DE but most are for people all over the USA. I am strongly sonsidering starting another blog here on wordpress to put all of the info together in 1 spot and sort in better than the fav place mess I have right now.
I was wondering if any moms out there would find it helpfull? A lot of you who choose to send your kids to school can still use some forms if your child is stuggleing in a specific are, or ideas for something fun to do on a weekend or a raining or cold day your child has off of school. Jason and I was unable to attend the marriage seminar at our last a few weeks ago. We don’t get to do much do to the lack of being able to get quality child care for our kids. We have 3 little girls ages almost 7, 5 and 3. Child number has Autism Spectrum Disorder and to put it gently can be difficult to handle so its hard to find someone who can take care of them and handle number 2’s energy level. She drains me daily so I can understand why people are happy to have us come home after barley an hour out but it is frustrating to be stuck home all the time.
Ok back to the marriage seminar, The senior pastor at the church we go to and love the people there dearly wrote a book called “When Sinners Say I Do. Its a real life look at marriage and how people relate to each other, it goes into real problems and a piratical approach to God and how marriage relates to God and his church. The people at our church must have known some are like us and not able to attend but wanted to hear the message so they put it on their website to listen to or download to burn to a CD.
Jason put it on a CD and announced that he wanted to go for a ride. That means the girls will hopefully go to sleep so we can listen to the CD. I honestly didn’t want to hear the message, I was worried I would hear all about how I have been screwing up. I did hear a bit of how I have been messing things up but to my delight which I will explain in a moment we got to hear how Jason has been messing up.
I was excited not so that I could point it in his face, which was tempting not to loudly announce ” look honey, this is all about you!”. But no, I kept my mouth shut because he was listening. If he wont listen to me at least he was listening to someone and that is good because I know he heard the message and didn’t hear he is a screw up. No, he heard yes he has made some mistakes but also most importantly he heard how to change things for the better. He heard God’s love and felt his compassion and he heard how I have been hurt and he heard how he can change it.
Just to clear things up. Jason is wonderful man. He is a great husband and father. My biggest problem is as wonderful as he can be sometimes he says things so cuttingly cruel. I’m sure we are all guilty of this. Because I am so exhausted by the time he gets home from work I don’t always get the house perfectly clean. For the most part he is good about coming home and helping out. But sometimes he can be really mean. We have been talking about it and I think he finally understands. I learned something to in the message. I learned not to throw things in his face and make him feel like a fool.

The rate for couples who have a special needs child is a bit higher. We have had a tough time the last 5 year but you know what? Jason is the man God sent to me, I am glad he gave me Jason because all that we have been through in our marriage is a lot to handle. Hopefully the hard parts are behind us. But if not we will keep talking and working through things. I am not delusional, I know daughter # 2’s Autism isn’t going anywhere. I know as the girls get older and become teengers we will face more problems but I look at our future with optimism. I know things have been really bad and we got through it with love, compassion and grace. I know we can handle what our future holds together.

You have to watch this. Its the funniest thing I have seen in a long time. My frinds 16 year old daughter was surfing youtube.com at my house when we found this. I almost peed my pants the 1st time I saw it. I thought it was a joke but the crackheads in Alabama believe in it. This is a real news report.
I love most of the songs that Shawn MacDonald sings. My favorit is called Captivated, it’s on his new album and I forget what the album is called. I have it on my mysapce page. I would have posted it here but its not on YouTube.com yet. It’s a song about how we need God’s love, but its not corney. Shawn McDonald has a folk sound and even if you don’t like Christian music I think you would like his music.
Once I feel I have enough experience I will create a page where my clients can purchase their pictures off of. For now I am using a free site. I am adding pictures as I go. Things are slow right now. I know I will be at The Autism Society of DE’s next event wich is the fall festival. I will take some pictures and post them on their own page on my website.

On Sept 8th my church is having a flea market where we can get a table and sell anything we like that is family friendly. I will have a few things from Avon to get ride of them hopefully, and I will be baking cookies. I already know we will be baking choc chip cookies but not sure what else to make. I told my husband that we should make some big choc chip cookies and have vanilla ice cream and make/sell sandwhich cookies but then he said how are we going to keep the ice cream cold? I hate when people ruin my genious ideas! If we could have done that we would have sold out fast and been a big hit.
My husband suggestions Rice Crispie Treats, I told him I wanted to make a few other things but not sure that yet. I would like some variety. Another thing I just thought of, how much to price the cookies at. Do you have any ideas for me?
On a side note, have you ever heard of the game called Snood? Check out www.snood.com. Well, I have that game and the other day I bought the slide show game becasue I like snood but I like variety too. Well I downloaded the free trial and then put the varifictaion code they send to you. Well wouldn’t you know it after 10 min of trying to get the stupid page that you pay on then I couldn’t get to to reccognize was name is between 8 and 15 characters long well the code doesn’t work for my game. I email the other day and still haven’t heard back. The game was $19.99. Not a big deal becasue you buy it for life. But still, I bought the stupid game I want to play it!
In case you missed me say this a few posts down I am an aspiring photgrapher. I think I like Joanna’s Photography Studio for a company name but the jury is still out on the name. Aslo I am looking into free sites. As I am ready to launch my company I will pay for the site so for right now I will be going free. Does anyone know of a good free to start web building site? I know of a few but I want to keep my options open and keep looking for a site I like.

About 4 months ago I found out that a former employeer/friend was in jail in New Jersey for kidnapping. She is a Spanish woman who married an American man. After about 5 years of marriage they decided to get a divorce. The husband got custody of their daughter. The wife took their 5 year old child to her family in Spain. The father has been trying for years to get his daughter back. The woman is in jail until she has the child returned to the father.
The womans family, a wealthy family in Spain, has told the now 7 year old little girl that her Daddy is dead! They are refusuing to allow any contact with him and his child. They are claiming she is doing very well, and she doesn’t ask for her Daddy, but she thinks her Dad is dead so why would she ask for him?
You can read more about the story above. Its just very sad. If this goes to court again they will probably be in a court in Philadelphia, PA and I will try to be there in support for the father.
